Collaborations of computer scientists between 1970 and 2016
GESIS, Cologne. Data File Version 1.0.0, https://doi.org/10.7802/1520
Abstract: This dataset describes the temporal evolution of collaborations in Computer Science based on papers that have been published between 1970 to 2016. It contains several data files in CSV format which embody information such as the author of publications for each year, its citations and the papers it is cited by. It also contains the inferred gender information of all authors. The publication and citation details are taken from DBLP and Aminer datasets respectively. This dataset along with the gender information is obtained from the methodology as specified in the 'Data' section of following pape ... more

Universe: Computer scientists that published in venues covered by DBLP between 1970 and 2016. Dblp computer science bibliography is the on-line reference for bibliographic information on major computer science publications. As of May 2016, dblp indexes over 3.3 million publications, published by more than 1.7 million authors. To this end, dblp indexes about ... more
Sampling Procedure: No sampling involved. It contains all authors and publications that are covered by DBLP.

Additional information about the file | CSV text file. The format of the file is as follows author id, year, publication id. It should be interpreted as which publication was produced by which author in which year. For example for a paper with 3 authors (A, B and C), publication id 555 and published in 2014, we have the following rows in the file: A,2014,555\nB,2014,555\nC,2014,555\n |

Additional information about the file | CSV text file. Author's citation network: The format of the file is author 1, author 2, year y. This indicates that author 1 cited author 2 in year y. For example for a paper with 2 authors ( A and B) published in 2014 and cite another paper with 2 authors (C,D), we have the following rows in the file: A,C,2014\nA,D,2014\nB,C,2014\nB,D,2014\n\r\n |

Additional information about the file | All the datasets published here are obtained from two main datasets. The authorship information is published by DBLP in http://dblp.org/xml/release/dblp-2016-07-01.xml.gz. The citation details are published by Aminer in https://aminer.org/citation. The V8 Aminer dataset was used but it was updated later on their website and hence the version that is used for the publication is shared here for reproducibility. Both these datasets are combined and the rest of the datasets published here are derived using the codebase in https://github.com/gesiscss/DBLP-.
