Abstract: The PERITIA survey is the first major cross-national survey of public trust in expertise used to inform policy making on climate change and COVID-19. While the main focus is on trust in national governments and scientists, the survey also contains measures capturing trust in a wide range of policy actors, including the European Commission, scientists in public, private and HE settings, climate charities and NGOs, news, media and social media organisations, as well as advisory groups such as the World Health Organization and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).
