Threat Level Index for Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) - European Repository of Cyber Incidents
SWP - German Institute for International and Security Affairs. Data File Version 1.0.0, https://doi.org/10.7802/2494
Abstract: This dataset is a subset of the European Repository of Cyber Incidents (EuRepoC) database. It contains 198 cyber incidents that occurred between 2002 and 2021 attributed to 19 Advanced Persistent Threats (APTs). APTs are potent, persistent, and state-affiliated, if not state-integrated, cyber actors responsible for various cyber-attacks. Within the context of the EuRepoC project, we have designed a Threat Level Index for assessing the relative level of threat posed by some of the most active APTs in cyberspace. The index is made up of five indicators to assess: (1) the intensity of the attacks ... more

Additional information about the file | This CSV file contains the raw data on all individual cyber incidents assessed as part of the Threat Level Index (one row = one cyber incident). Variables include the name of the incident, date, name of the APT group to which the incident is attributed (initiator_name_TLI), targeted countries (receiver_country), types of targets (receiver_categories), and intensity of attack (weighted_cyber_intensity_TLI). The specific variables used for the index calculations contain the initials TLI in their name. |

Additional information about the file | This file contains the overall Threat Level scores calculated for 19 APT groups based on the raw data provided in the first CSV file. The scores are broken down by indicator - sectorial scope, geographical scope, frequency of attacks, use of zero days (i.e. proxy for sophistication of attacks), and intensity of attacks. |
