Additional information about the file | This Stata data files contains coefficients, standard errors and fit statistics of 980 survival time cox regressions, as well as some additional statistics such as poverty rates and the "Population attributable fraction" (PAF) calculated from those models. We refer to this file as the "resultsset". The resultsset is being created by povmor_an01V3.do and is used by povmor_gr01V4.do to create the figures of the paper and by povmor_tab01V3.do to create the tables. Note that the subsequent do-files expect that the resultsset is being stored in the subdirectory "stout/". |

Additional information about the file | This do-file creates the variables, runs all the 980 regression models, and stores the results of those models in a Stata dataset (stout/povmor_an01V3_resultsset.dta). The do-file requires access to the WZB-PSID file which can be created by registered PSID users with wzbpsid_2019V4_retrival.do. The resultsset, i.e. "povmor_an01V3_resultsset.dta" is also part of this data package. Note that this do-file runs several hours on standard computers. |

Additional information about the file | This Stata do-file creates the WZB-PSID File from the official PSID-files. In order to run the do-file, PSID data files must be accessible from the computer that runs the do-file. Users must registers at https://psidonline.isr.umich.edu/ to download these data. We recommend downloading all the Zipped data from http://simba.isr.umich.edu/Zips/ZipMain.aspx and then to install these files using -psid install- from the -psidtools- package; see -findit psidtools-. In addition to the files of PSID, this file requires access to the full American part of the Cross National Equivalence File (CNEF). Since the download of the CNEF depends to a large extent on user settings made when downloading the data it is not possible to make this do-file fully replicable in the sense that it runs on any computer without editing. |
