Abstract: The study series "Sicherheitspolitische Einstellungen in der Bundesrepublik" was conducted on behalf of the United States Information Agency (USIA) between 1977-1988. The study series examined the opinions of the West German population on foreign policy and security policy issues. The present study from 1985 focuses on opinions on US and USSR policies in general, research on anti-missile defense systems, anti-satellite weapons, political unrest in South Africa, and human rights.
