Abstract: The project examines the career and family passage of a cohort of young skilled workers in two differently structured labour market regions and six selected occupations that completed their training in 1989. In a quantitative and qualitative longitudinal study, training graduates from 1989 shortly before the end of their training and one year later were asked about their educational and professional careers to date.
