Universe: Approx. 1000 election programmes/manifestos of relevant parties in the EU before the European Parliament Elections. Relevant parties in the EC/EU were defined as parties that had been represented in the European Parliament at least once.
Number of Units: 28 countries + Europe
Sampling Procedure: • Total universe/Complete enumeration; Total survey of party manifestos in the EU. The starting point for coding a Euromanifesto is the first election of a party to the European Parliament.
