Abstract: Ecology. This study number comprises the data collected during the so called main studies. The main studies represent three surveys which have partially been used for methodic experiments. The questions are identical in every survey except for the described differences. Sampling Procedure: Telephone sampling with online follow-up surveys: Respondents willing to participate subsequent to a prior telephone interview and who provided an e-mail address (Dual-Frame Gabler/Häder procedure, last-birthday method, mobile and landline sample)

Notes: Main study 1 and main study 2 were conducted by GESIS. The respondents of main study 3 were recruited via CATI by an external fieldwork agency. Under certain conditions, the CATI was not carried out entirely but in a shortened version of the interview. In those cases the essential questions were posed in the online surveys afterwards.
