Abstract: The Media Exposure and Opinion Formation (MEOF) study is a multi-country, multi-wave panel survey conducted between July 2017 and October 2019 in Germany and April 2018 and October 2019 in the United States. The survey allows for the study of political attitudes and behaviors, knowledge, online media consumption, and attitudes on a variety of topics. In addition to survey data, passive measurement technology (tracking software) was deployed on respondents´ desktop and mobile devices to collect real-time data on web visits and mobile app usage with respondent consent.
Content: The web tracking data consist of three samples, two German and one U.S. American, accompanying the fielded survey waves.
