Abstract: In the framework of this study long time series of different indicators of the french educational system are collected. The time series cover the period of the 19th and 20th century.
Data are available to the following topics:
- national and private preschools, primary schools and comprehensive schools

- primary schools and higher schools in France and their pupils by sex
