Abstract: The presented data shall display the distribution of the economically active population of the cities and districts in the North Rhine-Westphalia region among the individual sectors of the manufacturing industry. These data are taken from trade and business censuses and subsequent workplace censuses. In contrast to the occupational censuses, trade and business censuses or workplace censuses identify the employees of the tradesmen (employers) in the respective workplace.
