Notes: The investigation is part of a trend survey conducted every two years
since 1973. Besides the repetition of a
series of identical question formulations
additional economic policy topics current at the time are also surveyed.
The first study of this series is archived under ZA Study
No. 1632. Further surveys: ZA Study Nos. 1633
(1985), 1634 (1987), 1785 (1989), 2290 (1991) and 2422 (1993).
As also in the year before, the survey persons
were selected at random from address book publishers. The investigation
was conceived as a written survey, but in this
investigation again additional oral interviews
were also conducted to reach the number of cases sought: 150
interviews per group in the old states and 30
interviews per group in the new states.

Notes: The investigation is part of a trend survey conducted every two years

formulations, current economic policy topics are additionally surveyed.
The first study of this series is archived under ZA Study No. 1632.
Further surveys: ZA Study Nos. 1633 (1985), 1634 (1987), 1785 (1989)
and 2422 (1993). Of the 1117 opinion makers 748 were interviewed in
writing and 177 orally in FRG West. In FRG East 192 opinion makers were
only interviewed orally. The entire respondent group is comprised of
204 politicians, 193 senior officials, 181 trade unionists, 184
Journalisten, 178 managers and 177 bankers.
