Abstract: The scope of the dataset covers 31 European countries (EU MS 27 + United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway and Iceland). For each of this country, the TMD provides information about the types of government and the background of the ministers, which have been examined for the period 2000-2020. In total, it represents 7051 ministers and 298 cabinets. Country experts were contacted in order to fill in the dataset for each country. Country data were double-checked with the ULB research team.
